At last we have come through the long winter and into springtime in Scotland!
Since January I have been working with a high school English class in West Lothian as part of the Arts Across the Curriculum programme. We have been translating texts into storyboards and writing original illustrated short stories. I have been enjoying working with the class immensely and will be sorry when my residency ends.
The Scottish Book Trust has engaged me to work with 6-15 year olds in Fife this spring doing what I like doing best - writing and illustrating stories and making original books!
I was delighted to visit St Anne’s Primary in Renfrewshire and Eastbank Primary in Glasgow this winter. Both schools made me very welcome!
Last but not least, I was invited to be a Reading Champion as part of the Read Together programme. I am looking forward to being on the programme’s website amongst a fantastic array of authors and illustrators. To visit the site and read about Reading Champions, click here.
